5 km of pure joy — untimed, open to every pace, and built for families, first-timers, and charity teams. Costumes encouraged, smiles guaranteed.

Five kilometers of smiles.
The 5K fun run loops the festival grounds of Marigold Mile Park on flat, stroller-friendly paths. There is no timing, no pressure, and no last place — just music at every kilometer, a bubble station at km 3, and the loudest cheer squad in Austin waiting at the finish arch.
Charity teams of 5 or more run together under one team name, and kids under 8 join free with a registered adult. Head pacer Priya Nair leads the "party pace" group, keeping the energy high from the first step to the final dance across the line.
What's included

Race-day schedule
- 7:30 AM — Festival opens, costume contest sign-up
- 8:30 AM — 5K fun run start, festival main stage
- 9:30 AM — Kids' dash (under 8s, free) and costume awards
- 10:00 AM — Course closes (1.5-hour cut-off)
